The longest I went was almost 45 minutes, then I gave up.
seemed to long, but how long is realistic to get good results?

As far as good results, you have to sit under there until it's completely dry to get good results. I'm usually under there for an hour and a half sometimes a little more, sometimes less....it depends. I just go online while I'm on there and it goes by faster.

I stay under my bonnet dryer for about 45 minutes, just to get a head start on airdrying. I never stay under there until I'm completely dry
. I prefer to finish by airdrying.

I stay under my dryer for about an hour and a half. I have a Ion handheld with a bonnet attachment.

I'm shoulder length and use a Pibbs. I stay under for about 30 to 35 minutes. For you ladies in waiting for a Pibbs all I can say is "YES!!!" It's the best hair purchase I've ever made.

I have a Sally's Ion Hooded Dryer and I have to stay under the dryer for a little over two hours to have dry hair. The time actually varies depending on what size rollers I use (my hair is bra clasp length). I am usually on LHCF when I am under the dryer so time flies by. HTH.

35 minutes under the Pibbs - shoulder length hair.

I have one of those salon hooded dryers that looks like an "Airheads" shape. That takes 50 minutes with Diane grey magnetic rollers. I used to have a regular hooded one, but it was taking 1.5 hours and I just couldn't take it anymore.

With my Pibbs it takes 40 minutes with the temperature at 60, I am currently APL. I purchased the Pibbs years ago, because I had another dryer that took too long to dry my hair and grew tired of wasting my time with the table top dryer.
